The Eternals

Damon Locks of Chicago based The Eternals is apparently the type of person who lists his name last on the band’s myspace page even though it’s pretty easy to tell that he’s the major inspiration for all of the songs and the one that really makes the music what it is. He’s expressive in every way: wild yet still somewhat subdued and as he gestures out to you among the curious mix of sound that seems like a blend of hip hop, funk, and soul, you can’t help but watch to see what he’ll do next. The other band members: Wayne Montana and Tim Mulvenna fill in the songs with bass, drums, and sometimes keyboard but Locks is truly the voice.
