The Boredoms

In the words of a friend, the Boredoms were transcendent. Rarely in human life do you get to experience such emotional intensity. For one, the stamina of how they can keep up with incredibly long and engaging drumming is beyond explanation. The songs were ethereal and raw at the same time with the four of them in a circle of drums. You could feel the beat and rythm in your heart and head so completely that it was impossible to think of anything else. There’s a certain motion and energy that is the opposite of despair. It has to do with a sense of pure human creation and at our core what is in us. The Boredoms reminded me of it.
