Davey Von Bohlen was the special guest for Josh Caterer’s practice space. As his wikipedia entry reads, he’s been in a few prominent bands: Maritime and The Promise Ring and Cap’n Jazz. Davey was rather candid and modest. He was a surprise guest so he was pleased people knew his songs. He bantered about everything from performing in Germany to how there are two different phases of puberty to how Josh Hartnett let him down in Wicker Park played a shorter set but joined Josh Caterer on stage for some steve Miller Band songs at the end of the night. Perhaps Bohlen’s most memorable song of his set was Maritime’s “Someone Has to Die.”
