Bands With Animal Names

I’m amazed by how many great bands there are with animal names…so I thought I would write one big collective story highlighting these bands. I’m sure I missed some. If anyone can think of one I missed, feel free to leave a comment.
It all started with Wolfmother who gave birth to many offspring, including Guitar Wolf, We Are Wolves and a whole Wolf Parade. Wolf Parade quickly met up with Peter and the Wolf who was friends with Grizzly Bear, 14 Iced Bears, New Buffalo, and Caribou. Unfortunately, they grew hungry one day and ate a bunch of Field Mice and a whole Mice Parade while listening to Suede’s Dog Man Star.
One day, Wolf Parade threw a picnic and invited The Fruit Bats, who brought corn, and The Bats who brought kiwi. It was by the water so they played “I am the Walrus” with Eels, Philippe Crab and Sharks and Seals. They took a walk after eating and came upon Pedro the Lion and Elephant Micah, who were sunbathing while listening to Jens Lekman’s When I Said I Wanted to Be Your Dog. They became friends fast and others soon joined them including Echo & the Bunnymen, Le Husky and Sparrow House
They were so inspired by the music that Caribou, who used to be Manitoba, decided that they should frolic in the fields and it was there they saw The Unicorns running with Crazy Horse, Deerhoof and 16 Horsepower. Up ahead were beautiful Doves singing while they played CatPower. “We should really stop fighting eachother,” Caribou said and so they made a pledge to not hurt one another and even started their own Animal Collective.
*special thanks to Cinchel who came up with a couple of these, particularily that The Bats should bring kiwi to the picnic.
