Devotchka is coming…

Anyone who knows me remotely well will already understand that I am obsessed with Devotchka. I’m not without my accomplices, either. My friend José proved his great love and devotion by flying out last weekend from Chicago to Colorado and seeing them at the Boulder Theater (Check out this utube video.) Now, he’s talked Cinchel and I and another friend into taking a road trip out to Madison, Wisconsin’s The Annex Dec 1st in order to see them two nights in a row. I guess that means I’ll have to choose two different ball gowns.
Devotchka will be in Chicago at the Logan Square Auditorium on December 2cnd. They are one of the best bands I’ve ever seen live.

Whoa, that picture took me by surprise. I am eagerly anticipating the dec 2nd show. Road trip to go see them in Madison? Should we be anticipating you and cinchel getting rid of the apt for a VW bus and hitting the road with Devotchka. Selling hand made goods in the parking lot to support the trip? Hmmm, can I come?

Do you have hand made goods to sell too?
You’ve seen that picture haven’t you? It’s in my flickr favorites I think. Gosh, I fall a little bit for Nick Urata every time he opens his mouth. It’ll be great seeing them again!

I have seen that picture, just not in poster size. All those devotchka pics are great. I really look forward to them as well. Hmmm, no hand made goods. I bet I can drive a VW bus though!

I hope the show isn’t sold out, I should buy a ticket!

Thanks that’s a nice compliment. Actually, my friend Jose is driving and he has a standard car-no VW bus and even though I would make a fantastic gypsy I don’t think Cinchel is keen on it.

Gosh yes Nicole buy a ticket
I’ve made this my main reason for living through these cold days. I’m even getting stuff dry cleaned. I might wear mascara too. We’re talking all out!
