Best of Myspace continued

It’s been a bit of a hectic week-friend wise but I did get a chance to finally check out the lovely music of Jenn Grant who I found out about because the production on her first full length album Jenn Grant and Goodbye Twentieth Century was done by members of one of my favorite bands, The Heavy Blinkers Jenn is also from Nova Scotia and has two songs up on her myspace page. “Dreamer” is especially addictive with it’s upbeat chorus that has just these perfect almost sighing vocals over them. It’s difficult to be catchy and lovely at the same time and I think this is almost a subtler catchy-that chord progression stuck in your head much later when you least expect it kind of catchy. “Britt n’ Kip” is more obviously clap your hands dance around to for the majority of it. Nice strings on both! I guess this album also includes a duet with Ron Sexsmith who I am very psyched about seeing January 16th at Schubas (check out that great X-mas song on his myspace page).
