Guitarkestra, an event put together by Steve Krakow from Plastic Crimewave Sound met Saturday in the speaker project put together by artist Juan-Angel-Chavez. Local band Aleks and the Drummer added some structure with drumming and vocals but it was mainly a gathering of guitarists with various pedals and amps who played a symphony in the chord of E. Think about the energy that Rhys Chatham has tried to capture over his symphonies. I also thought of a billions revved up insects plugged into some kind of supernatural electrical socket that would project their sounds above the clouds throughout the entire world
