I just wanted to say that, in regards to your first paragraph, I'm on the exact same page. Strangely if I am in the company of people that I share things in common with I probably talk too much. In company where I know that most things that I want to talk about will not be of interest to people (that is, if they even know what I'm talking about) I don't have a clue what to say. Then I get serious anxiety and I just want to go home and throw an album on and read a book or see what Netflix has sent me today or . . . well, you get the point.
