I had been told by a couple of friends that these two talented guitarists from Mexico (who later relocated to Europe) were a must see and I would agree. Rodrigo y Gabriela made up of Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero have definitely worked hard to get where they are and deserve alot of praise for their abilities. Though they seemed to have original compostions (or atleast ones I couldn’t place and recognize), they also did alot of covers, particularily of Metallica, which came off really well (trust me, I hate Metallica but even I could enjoy hearing the entire crowd singing along to songs they knew by heart). The combination of acoustic folk rock meets metal is surely an intriguing one. Their set was somewhat early on in the day but they had a generous and appreciative crowd. These two might end up being legendary.
