His Name Is Alive

Logan Square Auditorium 1/27/6

This was my first time seeing His Name is Alive . They came across as much more bluesy than indie electropop oriented (which is for some reason what I had expected) The songs came more alive with the saxaphone, which complemented many of the tunes. As a strength, lead singer Andrea FM did have a definite stage presence. At times, her eyes widened and she seemed downright spooky. They’d be the perfect band to see on Halloween.

I’m not too familiar with their songs as I don’t own any of their albums but from what I gather listening to the sound samples on their myspace page (all three of which they played Friday night) is that they use quite an eclectic mix of styles so if that is for you, check them out.
