Page France

I’m pretty sure I heard about Page France through one of two websites. It was either through Gorilla vs. Bear (a really wonderful mp3 blog!) or through You Ain’t No Picasso. It may have even been both of them but either way I am very thankful. Live, they are super melodic with Michael Nau’s vocalists having a similarity to The Decembrists lead singer Colin Maloy. When Whitney McGraw sings, the songs reminded me more of really sweet Essex Green . You can maybe picture them in sunny Brooklyn dancing a bit. Page France is actually a four piece from Maryland, however. With nice dynamics between the keyboard, bass, drums, and guitar (with a little bit of tamborine on some songs just for good measure), Page France has a real fun flair to them live and I would recommend seeing them as well as checking them out.
