Beat Kitchen 4/22/6

It’s great to be part of a city in which there is so much musical talent and Tenki is a band I am always so in awe of. It makes me proud to live in Chicago and it enriches the music community to have them around. Tenki has many multi instrumentalists that compliment lead singer Jamie Toal’s voice so that nothing musically important is ever lost. It also makes the music sound really interesting and creative, which is something many bands just don’t have. This night was especially special because of the Arab Strap cover of “The Shy Retirer” (and I have to say, Jamie’s voice has a much larger range than Aidan Moffat’s) I can’t wait for them to release their newest album!
