Calexico

Calexico have a really interesting sound to them because they aren’t quite standard folk and the horns add a variety that make their songs an eclectic mix. Playing with four members at the instore, they used two guitars, trumpets, and vibraphones and played a good mix of old and new material. Perhaps the highlight was their cover of Love’s “Alone Again Or” with the horn section really perfectly resounding out the melody line. It was wonderful to see people of all ages enjoying their songs.
