5/6/6 at Lakeshore Theater in Chicago

Sam Jayne of Love as Laughter was the first of three Saturday night. Now, I’ve been seeing Love as Laughter albums around for quite some time next door to this venue at Reckless Records but I just hadn’t had the chance to listen to them for some reason. (Do you ever feel like you are just a cup filled to the brim with music and bands and you’ll topple over and spill before you can enjoy them all?) Sam Jayne played solo acoustic songs from Love as Laughter…nice stripped down sounding folk numbers. He’s a singer/songwriter based in Brookyln whose songs you can hear on his myspace page
